For public-sector clients, SRV delivers hospitals, schools, campuses, daycare facilities and other public buildings. For Finnish and international companies and property investors, we build commercial and office properties, logistics and industrial facilities, and data centers designed to meet each customer’s objectives.

In lifecycle projects, SRV is responsible not only for construction but also for the long-term maintenance and services of the building. We also carry out renovations that extend the lifecycle of existing buildings and bring them up to modern standards.

SRV also develops its own non-residential projects in cooperation with property investors. By bringing together project development, design and construction expertise from an early stage, we can develop solutions that meet the needs of both future users and investors.

Wintteri multipurpose centre in Uusikaupunki is a good example of our lifecycle-wise approach in practice: SRV is responsible for the building and its maintenance for 20 years.

Strong in-house building services expertise

In demanding non-residential projects, building services need to work seamlessly with both the building and the user’s own systems. SRV’s in-house team of around 100 building services engineering professionals is involved from the outset, from design management and cost planning to procurement, construction and commissioning. This allows technical systems to be coordinated early, with energy efficiency, reliability and the project’s specific requirements considered as part of the overall solution.

Our in-house expertise is particularly valuable in technically demanding projects such as hospitals, data centers and industrial facilities. A good example is Jorvi Hospital’s new ward building, where the building’s energy solutions were designed from the outset to support the client’s environmental programme.

Technically demanding industrial construction and data centers

SRV has strong expertise in high-tech production environments, data centers and industrial facilities with demanding technical and security requirements. Our experience covers a wide range of industrial and production facilities in Finland.

SRV provides a comprehensive service from design and construction through to commissioning. In industrial projects, collaborative contract model allows the customer’s processes, systems and requirements to be considered from an early stage. A good example is RMC’s multipurpose shipbuilding hall in Rauma, designed around the specific requirements of advanced shipbuilding.

Experience in wood construction

SRV is one of Finland’s most experienced builders in wood construction, with expertise ranging from offices and public buildings to learning environments and even an arena. We deliver both timber-framed buildings and hybrid solutions that combine wood with other materials, always choosing the solutions that best meet the needs of the project.

Wood is a renewable material that stores carbon and can help reduce a building’s carbon footprint. Used in the right way, it can also bring warmth and character to the spaces we build. A good example is WithSecure’s headquarters in Wood City, Helsinki, a predominantly wooden office building and a flagship project for Finnish wood construction.

Safety and quality go hand in hand

Safety is managed systematically throughout every SRV project, starting from the project development phase. Our safety management is based on an ISO 45001-certified management system and integrated into our HSEQ operations. We assess risks based on the nature and location of the project, the client’s requirements and the future use of the building.

This systematic approach is particularly important in demanding non-residential projects, where construction may take place alongside ongoing operations or in environments with specific technical, security or safety requirements. Strong safety management also supports quality, reliable schedules and cost control.
