Youth Panel

Influence the city of tomorrow today – join SRV’s Youth Panel! As a member, you will have the opportunity to share your views on real construction projects currently on SRV’s drawing board.

Why join the Youth Panel?

The Youth Panel offers a chance to take part in shaping urban environments and to connect with other young people. It gives you a platform to make your voice heard on issues that matter to all of us, such as:

  • how you would like to live in the future
  • what kind of city you want to call home
  • what you hope working life will look like when you graduate

As a member of the Youth Panel, you will gain valuable experience of the construction sector and meet other young people who are interested in the same themes. You will also be able to contribute ideas to real development projects.

Who can join the Youth Panel?

You do not need any prior knowledge of construction or related themes – curiosity, enthusiasm and a willingness to make your voice heard are all that is required. The current age range for the Youth Panel is 15–20 years, and participation is possible in SRV’s operating areas in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area, Turku or Tampere.

What kinds of concrete questions has the Youth Panel discussed?

We have explored SRV’s lifecycle-wise strategy and what it means in practice. The panel has also considered themes such as safety in the urban environment, the future of housing and spatial design.

What does SRV actually do?

SRV is not only one of Finland’s largest construction companies but also an active developer of cities. The decisions we make as a construction company have long-term impacts, which is why we want young people to join us in developing the future. We want to listen more closely to the future users of homes and business premises so that we can create urban environments, spaces and homes where people truly enjoy living.
