Our traineeships are open to higher education students studying civil engineering, construction site management or building services engineering.
Summer 2027 traineeships
For summer 2027, we will be hiring dozens of trainees for a variety of roles in the Helsinki metropolitan area, Tampere, Turku and Northern Finland. Applications for summer 2027 traineeships open on 14 January 2027 and close on 27 January 2027.

What does SRV offer trainees?
You don't need to be a fully fledged professional. We'll introduce you to your role and give you the best possible start to your career at SRV. And you won't be left on your own after the initial onboarding – your colleagues and manager will support you throughout your traineeship.
You definitely won't get bored with us, as you'll develop your skills on socially significant projects and suitably challenging tasks. You'll be given work that matches your skills. As a trainee at SRV, you'll learn new things and build your expertise at the top of the construction industry, working on unique projects alongside skilled colleagues.
What would you like to achieve? We want to give you the opportunity to build a career path at SRV. We hope our trainees will return for traineeships in the following summers, complete their thesis with us and, after graduating, join us in a permanent position.

Your monthly salary will be in line with industry recommendations and will depend on the credits you have completed and your previous work experience. We also offer recreation, health and massage benefits, a lunch benefit, comprehensive occupational healthcare and group accident insurance that also covers your free time. Trainees working in hands-on site roles will be paid by the hour.

Additional information about our traineeships
- Traineeships usually start in May.
- Depending on your studies and our work needs, it may be possible to start as early as the first months of the year.
- Traineeships generally continue into August, depending on the trainee's situation and the tasks at hand.
Trainee pay follows SRV's trainee salary table, which is based on the student salary recommendations of professional organisations TEK (Academic Engineers and Architects in Finland) and RIA (Finnish Association of Civil Engineers).
You don't need a valid Occupational Safety Card when you apply. All trainees we hire will have the opportunity to complete the Occupational Safety Card training through SRV during the spring.
We operate nationwide, so our traineeships are available all over Finland.
Site-based roles require you to be able to travel to the site.
