At Kokardi, home extends beyond the walls of each apartment thanks to extensive shared facilities. SRV built a 13-storey residential building in East Pasila, Helsinki, with 62 homes close to established services and transport connections.
Completed in 2024, Helsingin Kokardi is located in East Pasila, just 700 metres from the Tripla shopping centre. The building is part of a wider development of the area, combining modern living with sustainable solutions.
Kokardi has 13 storeys and 62 apartments, ranging from studios to four-room homes. High-quality shared facilities, including three rooftop saunas and a roof terrace, provide residents with additional space for everyday life. During the day, the communal room on the 13th floor can be booked as a remote working space, while in the evenings it is available for private use for hobbies or leisure activities.
Particular attention was paid to energy efficiency and material choices in the design of Kokardi's apartments. The size, functionality and ease of furnishing of the living spaces were also key considerations.
As a new residential development, Kokardi benefits from its location close to existing services and well-established public transport connections.
“Pasila offered an excellent opportunity to make use of existing infrastructure. The new homes are being built in an area where services are already in place,” summarises Jorma Seppä, Director responsible for SRV's housing business in the Helsinki metropolitan area.
