Rajamäki Campus provides modern facilities for education and sports in Nurmijärvi. SRV delivered the energy class A campus building and handed it over to the client seven months ahead of schedule.
Rajamäki Campus provides modern facilities for pupils in grades 6–9 of comprehensive school, as well as versatile sports facilities for use by the school and municipal sports services. The facilities have been designed to be flexible and adaptable to changing pupil numbers, ensuring that the campus will continue to serve its users in the future.
The Rajamäki Campus building was handed over to the client seven months earlier than agreed. However, this did not mean compromising on quality.
The energy class A campus was built with lifecycle wisdom at the forefront. Solar panels have been installed on the roof, and renewable energy is also produced for the building using an air-to-water heat pump.
Environmental considerations were also important. The design preserved the existing trees on the site, complemented green views with new planting and enhanced biodiversity with meadow areas in the schoolyard. Rajamäki Campus brings together high-quality construction, sustainability and a pleasant learning environment.
The successful delivery was also reflected in site safety. In March 2025, the Rajamäki Campus construction site was recognised as the best-performing site in its category in the Uusimaa Turvallisesti 2000-luvulla occupational safety competition organised by the Confederation of Finnish Construction Industries RT. The award was based on TR site safety assessments, a standardised Finnish method for measuring safety levels on construction sites.
Rajamäki Campus is the municipality’s most significant and important construction project. Throughout the project, there was a clear spirit of collaboration and a solution-oriented approach. In my view, the project’s quality and functional objectives have been achieved extremely well. A big thank you to everyone involved in the construction project.
