SRV built the Lumijälki 2 logistics centre in Ylästö, Vantaa, bringing warehouse, production and office facilities together under one roof. Located close to major transport routes, the project was designed to meet users' needs and delivered under a turnkey contract.
Lumijälki 2 was built in the Tuupakka logistics area in Ylästö, Vantaa, close to Ring Road III and Helsinki Airport. Its accessible location provides good connections to the Helsinki metropolitan area, the airport and key transport routes.
The facilities at Lumijälki 2 were designed to meet the needs of three different users. The logistics centre combines warehouse, production and office facilities with ample parking and space for heavy goods vehicle movements.
The City of Vantaa's resource-wise objectives were taken into account in the design and construction of the logistics centre. The requirements of the BREEAM environmental certification system were also considered, guiding the implementation of sustainable and energy-efficient solutions and supporting environmental efficiency.
The result is a logistics centre in Vantaa where a convenient location, adaptable facilities and lifecycle-wise solutions support users' operations well into the future.
