DayOne data center construction to start in Lahti – SRV strengthens its position in the growing market for data center construction
SRV is launching a data center construction project in Kiveriö, Lahti, for the Singapore-based DayOne. Construction work will begin immediately, and the data center is scheduled to start operations during 2027.
SRV, Finland's largest business premises builder, has decades of experience in the construction of technically demanding premises. The company believes that the growing data center market offers growth opportunities for SRV, and negotiations are currently underway on several data center projects.

SRV has previously also implemented the Helsinki Data Center for Telia, as well as similar projects in the manufacturing industry that are challenging in terms of building technology, such as Okmetic's silicon wafer factory in Vantaa.
DayOne is a global data center developer and operator headquartered in Singapore.
The data center will be built at Ilmarisentie 3 in a former industrial area that has been fully zoned for industrial use. The data center is designed to handle a large amount of data. The data center aims to use energy-efficient technologies and renewable energy sources, and the possibility of utilising the waste heat generated by the operations will be investigated, for example, in local heat distribution.
