Students have new, comfortable homes in Patola, Oulunkylä. SRV built 92 modern student apartments in the area, designed to meet the needs of contemporary living and located close to a light rail stop.
SRV built a 92-apartment student housing development in Patola, Oulunkylä, Helsinki, for the real estate company Patolan Kulma, which is owned by Hämäläisten ylioppilassäätiö, Artin Säätiö, Savolaisten ylioppilaiden säätiö and Kymenlaakson osakunnan stipendirahasto.
Completed in 2026, the project comprises a seven-storey residential building with 92 student apartments, commercial premises and a courtyard area. The building also has shared facilities including a club room and sauna, ample bicycle storage and a spacious communal laundry room.
The project focused on comfortable living through modern spatial solutions and adaptability. On each floor, apartments can be combined if necessary by removing partition walls.
The project was built in a dense urban environment next to existing residential buildings. We kept the neighbourhood informed by providing regular updates on the impacts and progress of the construction work and scheduling noisy work phases appropriately.
