Strömbergintie – residential buildings in Pitäjänmäki

Pitäjänmäki has excellent transport connections to destinations across the Helsinki metropolitan area, and the Jokeri Light Rail (Raide-Jokeri) line, which runs through the district, will make the location significantly more central. Travelling to Helsinki city centre will become quick and effortless by rail. The nearest bus stop provides good connections both to the centre and elsewhere in the region. Pitäjänmäki and Valimo railway stations are within a short walking distance.

Thanks to its central location, the area offers convenient access whether travelling by car or by public transport. Mobility is also supported by a shared car available to the residential properties on the plot.

Nature and recreational opportunities close by

Pitäjänmäki and the neighbouring Tali area offer a wide range of opportunities for exercise and sports. Within a one-kilometre radius you will find tennis and squash halls, football pitches, a trampoline park, skiing and jogging trails and several gyms.

Nature is present the moment you step outside. In addition to the adjacent Strömberg Park, the area includes the historic Patterimäki fortification site. On the opposite side of Pitäjänmäki Road is a charming allotment garden and the green surroundings of Tali Manor.

Strömberg Park, which takes its name from the Gottfrid Strömberg foundry building completed in 1916, is a natural oasis in the heart of Pitäjänmäki. The river flowing through the park features Strömberginkoski, Helsinki’s only natural waterfall, located right next to the new buildings constructed by SRV, in the residents’ local park. The steep, three-metre waterfall is an impressive sight and a point of pride for the area, with its water levels varying depending on rainfall. On the other side of the park is a city-maintained playground serving local families, and the park also includes a dog park for residents with pets.

The park, with its natural values, waterfall and streams, has been described as one of the city’s hidden gems.

SRV has built new residential developments in Pitäjänmäki

SRV has built three new residential buildings in the area, offering effortless living close to nature and recreational opportunities in this former industrial district. The buildings share a courtyard with playground and seating areas. Parking is available in a two-storey underground parking facility beneath the courtyard deck. The architecture of the buildings features references to the red-brick industrial structures that once stood on the site.

Helsingin Väinämöisenrinne is located at Strömbergintie 4 and is one of the three apartment buildings constructed on the plot. Completed in spring 2021, it is a five-storey, three-staircase residential building with 66 apartments.

Helsingin Joukahaisenpiha is also located at Strömbergintie 4. Completed in spring 2022, it is an eight-storey, single-staircase residential building with 69 apartments.

Ilmarisenpuisto, an eight-storey building with 68 apartments, was completed in winter 2022 and forms the final part of this attractive three-building ensemble. Ilmarisenpuisto includes apartments ranging from studios to four-room homes. It is located next to Strömberg Park. The Jokeri Light Rail line will begin operating on Pitäjänmäki Road on the opposite side of the park.
