SRV to build 47 residential units for Eden Living in Espoo
SRV and Eden Living have signed an agreement on the construction of 47 residential units in Niittykumpu, Espoo. The order will be recognised for January and it supports SRV's strategy that focuses on increasing the share of revenue accounted for by housing construction and projects based on in-house development.
Asunto Oy Espoon Luhtasammal, an eight-storey rental apartment building, will be built as a development project close to the Niittykumpu metro station and the Niitty shopping centre. Construction work is scheduled to start in February 2026 and to be completed in spring 2027. The project will be carried out as a turnkey contract with SRV taking on end-to-end responsibility.
"Luhtasammal is a great example of SRV's project development and ability to develop lifecycle-wise projects in good locations, also for real estate investors. The activity of real estate investors has developed positively over the past year and we believe that the positive development will continue strongly in the current year," says Samu Lamminen, Head of Transactions at SRV.
"SRV's objective is to step up the volume of housing construction in the years ahead. In addition to our own housing production, we carry out a variety of housing projects for our customers,” says Kai Remmler, Unit Manager, housing construction in the Helsinki metropolitan area at SRV.
Luhtasammal will be built in compliance with the EU taxonomy. The project takes its environmental impacts into consideration and focuses on mitigating climate change by reducing carbon emissions during both construction and occupancy. The project is also seeking Breeam In Use environmental certification, which assesses the sustainability and environmental friendliness of the property. The project will be lifecycle-wise and compliant with energy class A, using both geothermal and solar energy.

Eden Living is a joint venture established by Keva, Finland’s largest pension insurer, and Taaleri Real Estate. It invests in high-quality build-to-rent residential development projects in Finland’s growth centres. Taaleri Real Estate manages all activities related to Eden Living.
