Kohteen tiedot
In a central location opposite Vantaa City Hall, SRV and NREP are jointly developing the Tikkurila town-centre project, an urban block comprising seven residential buildings and a total of around 450 apartments.
Diverse housing offering
Of the seven residential buildings in the block, five consist of owner-occupied apartments. Three of the buildings have already been completed: Tikkurilan Ensimmäinen, Tikkurilan Kolmas and Tikkurilan Viides.
The five-storey Tikkurilan Ensimmäinen includes 53 apartments ranging from studios to three-room homes. Tikkurilan Kolmas features 33 apartments, mainly studios and one-bedroom homes, as well as larger three-bedroom apartments with saunas. Tikkurilan Viides comprises 40 apartments, including compact studios, dual-aspect one-bedroom homes and through-apartments with three rooms.

The two rental apartment buildings constructed by SRV for NREP are the eight-storey Juli Tikkurilan Verraton, comprising 194 apartments, and the seven-storey Juli Tikkurilan Onnekas (formerly known as Tikkurilan Toinen), with 72 apartments.
“Tikkurila is undergoing a period of intense renewal, and the new city centre block is one of the most striking examples of this transformation. The Tikkurila town-centre block combines a central location, proximity to services and excellent rail connections. The apartments in the development are an excellent example of SRV’s housing expertise, located along strong transport links,” says Jorma Seppä, Head of SRV’s Housing Business in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area.
In the heart of developing Tikkurila
In the future, growth in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area, and particularly in the city of Vantaa, will increasingly concentrate around public transport hubs. The population of Tikkurila and its surrounding areas has grown rapidly over the past decade, bringing new jobs and services to the district.
Tikkurila enjoys excellent transport connections: all local and long-distance trains stop at Tikkurila railway station, with a travel time of less than 15 minutes to Helsinki Airport. The area is also easily accessible by car and just a short walk from the city centre are the railway station, Dixi Shopping Centre, health services, schools, daycare centres and pleasant riverside recreation areas.

The block complex encloses a sheltered and green courtyard, with a boldly sculpted green roof that gives it a distinctive character. The main façade material is locally built brick, light in tone on the outer façades and warm reddish-brown facing the courtyard.
