At SRV, we have implemented measures to limit and slow down the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). We closely follow the epidemic guidelines of the authorities and follow the general safety instructions and recommendations issued by the authorities in all our activities.
We are managing this developing situation daily with regard to both health and supply chain functionality, and are actively seeking solutions to any potential disturbances. Ensuring safe and healthy working conditions plays a key role in safeguarding both progress in our work and our personnel’s and partners’ health and safety.
Special arrangements have been made at our sites to slow down the spread of the coronavirus. We strive to keep close contacts to a minimum and take care of safety distances. For example, we have limited the use of elevators and the simultaneous number of people in social facilities. In social spaces, various solutions have been sought to reduce contacts, including adding spaces, dividing them into smaller parts, and staggering breaks. On-site orientations are conducted by remote orientations and meetings are held either electronically or outdoors.
Good hygiene is important in preventing infections. The cleaning of the premises has been increased and, in particular, the cleaning of frequently touched surfaces has been intensified. Workers have been instructed to take care of hand hygiene and are reminded that only healthy people should come to the workplace. SRV’s orientation materials contain corona instructions in several languages. We make sure that soap, disposable towels and hand tools are always available on site.
SRV has a working group that monitors the situation on a daily basis. The working group gives operating instructions to both sites, other personnel and subcontractors, e.g. epidemic prevention and response. The measures will be specified as necessary. The spread of the virus is being combated in good cooperation with subcontractors and occupational health care, and we are actively considering new solutions to prevent infections. The measures will be specified as necessary.
We recommend our staff to work remotely in all tasks where this is possible. When possible, we avoid meetings and gatherings, and we strive to organize, for example, remote meetings both internally and with our customers and partners. If we meet face to face, we keep our distance and don’t shake hands. With regard to the use of social facilities and canteens, it is recommended to plan staggering for break schedules and arrival at construction sites on a site-by-site basis. We also do not accept visits to our sites for the time being unless they are directly related to site’s continuation.
We also urge our subcontractors, material suppliers and other partners to take similar measures to limit the spread of the virus.
For the time being, home sales do not hold open doors or general presentations at properties. We recommend that you visit the properties for sale primarily virtually and agree on a possible private presentation if the situation allows.
In this exceptional situation, following the instructions of the authorities and the responsibility of each of us is paramount. Let’s take care of each other!
