Oy Beweship Ab office building, logistics
SRV was the main contractor in the project to build office premises in the Viinikkala area of Vantaa for Oy Beweship Ab, a freight forwarding and transportation company.
The project, which SRV won through competitive bidding, involved the construction of an office building of some 7 000 gross square metres. The office premises consist of a building on four floors with a cellar. The warehouse is intrinsically connected to the office premises and divided into two sections a removals storage area of about 1 000 m² and a bonded warehouse of some 4 000 m².
The building is constructed primarily of reinforced concrete elements. The warehouse reaches a height of over 8.5 metres. It has light element outer walls, while the load-bearing roof structures are of profiled steel sheet. The warehouse floor is constructed of fibre-reinforced concrete on a natural foundation. There is access from the main warehouse area to the outside loading area via 17 loading bays.
The tight eight and a half month building phase that had been specified for the project ran its course smoothly with good co-operation between the stakeholders and project participants. As a result, most of the construction work progressed according to schedule, and the building was handed over to the occupier in June 2004, as contracted.
